It would be great if this application could also handle anniversaries. I'd like to be able to congratulate my friends on their anniversaries as well as their birthdays. Perhasp, the addition of a type to the anniversary could make it more than just the traditional wedding anniversary. You could have the anniversary of the day they discovered drupal or the anniversary their first kiss. Whatever they can come up with.

:-) Perhaps this module would need to be renamed though. :-)

That would involve rewriting and renaming a large part of the code, I'm not sure whether that is such a great idea at this point. Perhaps in the future in a 2.x or even a 3.x version and if we're merged/connected to the events module, we might be able to handle all types of anniversaries and birthdays.

For the moment I'll put this on hold, but thanks for thinking with us!

No new features into 5.x, unless someone writes a straight forward patch. This should, however, be possible with the D7 version of Birthdays. You can create custom birthday fields and name them whatever you want. If you find a string talking about birthdays where it should be something more generic, please file an issue.
