It would be nice if I could add fields where the user could attach files. Thanks.

Mirlen commentedI'd like to second this! Integration with the upload module would be very handy for the use I was about to implement, but alas, I can't.. :( *crosses fingers*
Comment #2
gsperk commentedI'd like to third it! *that's 8 more fingers crossed*
Comment #3
m3avrck commentedI fourth this one as well!
With a few recommendations: have a new field in the settings to limit what type of file extensions can be attached and uploaded, along with specifiying a size (or pulling this size from the upload manager). And this should work with anonymous access as well, maybe with some sort of auto-throttle mechanism to prevent abuse (e.g., this IP address can only send 5 files max, totaling 10mb otherwise this could be labeled as absuse/spam).

narto commentedhi there... is there anyone here can tell me how to attach some files to webform, i need 2 customize my form on the web,...thanks
Comment #5
rainynight65 commentedI'd like to fifth it. I also think there should be a way to tell the form what kind of files to accept and what kind of files to refuse, plus a size limit would be good. :-)

mariagwyn commentedI would like to 5th or 6th this one as well, it would be very useful for my sight which is a online and print journal site, and we would like articles submitted to the editor as a document for consideration.
Thanks,
Maria

michelleGiven the age of this request, it doesn't look likely but I'll add my "I want it" to the list. :)

ullgren commentedHmm I'm sure I've answered to this issue before but the comment seemed to have been missplaced.
Any way... I would LOVE this feature but it's not on the top of my personal list of feature and since I have a few other commitments right now it looks like it will take a while untill can come around to implement it.
On the other hand ANY suggestions and/or patches will probably have a good chance of getting into the code as soon as they are posted here.
Maybe it's time for a bounty ?
I would be willing to add a $10 dollars to get it done.
I know this bounty is _low_ but since I personaly don't have any direct need for this feature right now I'm not willing to pay more. And when I do I will just implement it myself =).
Any way I will thru in a cool brewerage of your own choice if you travel to Karlstad, Sweden and deliver the code to me in person.

quicksketchThis feature has been committed to CVS. Pontus, you can sent a brewsky 12-pack via postal mail to my home in Arizona. ;-)
michelleAwesome! Just in time for me to avoid hand making a form that needs file uploads. :)
Thanks!

mariagwyn commentedSo when this was originally posted, it was in 4.6. Since then, I have moved to 4.7. Is the file upload possible in 4.7?
Thanks,
Maria
Comment #12
quicksketchYep, but you'll need to download the CVS branch. We haven't yet merged it back into 4.7. This feature is actually 4.7-only, and highly unlikely that it will ever be backported to 4.6.

mariagwyn commentedthanks, just need 4.7.
