I removed the standard body from my content type and added a textfield as main text element.
When quoting such nodes, I get:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$body in _quote_get_quoted_data() (Zeile 331 von .../sites/all/modules/quote/quote.module)

This important request (taking into consideration that Drupal 7 went all fields, do this module should've started to support custom fields long time ago) was filed back in the beginning of 2013 and there has been no solution proposed. I found even earlier report of this issue on #381900: Quote from any field. Really sad to see this kind of really needed changes are totally ignored by the module maintainers.
