Attributes and Options

Using ubercart as the back end, it appears that attributes will only display as a text box regardless if select box, checkbox, or radio buttons are selected for the display if there is no price variation in the options. For example, if I've set up a product that has color options, but no price difference and choose select box for display, it will default to a text entry box on the product page, however if I change one of the options to increase or decrease the price, then it will display as a select box.
