I have set my frontpage to a panel view and would still like to have the rss autodiscovery working. What can I do to get this working?

I have created a view that gets my rss link, I just don't know how to get it working.

I assume you have provided for an RSS feed of the View that is on your front page correctly, by adding the RSS Feed Selector argument to the View. If so, and if what you want is for that feed to be auto-discovered, add this tag to your page template in the head section, substituting the Feed URL from the view:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml"
title="RSS Feed for yoursite.com"
href="/rss/" />

Hello.
Using the method in comment #2 is it possible to limit the rss feed icon to only appearing on a site's homepage?
Using that method i've found that the RSS icon illuminates in the browsers address bar on every page of the site.
