Hello,

I have an image gallery set up and working wonderfully using CCK and Views in a Drupal 5 install. I'm looking for instructions on how to change the background color of the thumbnails. They are defined as an imagecache preset to be 150x150 square, but I'm unable to crop all my images square; some must be rectangular in shape. When these are viewed as thumbnails in the gallery, the dead space above and below the photo (within the confines of the 150x150 square thumbnail) is black and I would like to change this to white (example).

I don't know PHP, but I did look in the same file where I changed the default number of columns in the grid from 4 to 3, but I didn't see anything that looked like it might be defining a background color. Also tried searching for instructions via Google, but if I've overlooked them and someone would be kind enough to point me to them I'd happily read them. Failing that, would someone be a dear and please tell me how to do it? :)

Many thanks!

Through more research I discovered that changing the "Scale to fit" setting to "Outside dimensions", then clicking the "Flush preset images" rectified the problem. This fills the entire thumbnail with nothing but photo so background color becomes a mute issue--a better solution for my needs anyway.
