Description

9A. Single/multiple action option: paragraph when editing an action space
in the group/action space edit, we have asked for an option (Ben said he would do it, even if grudgingly): single action or multiple actions –
When editing a group we don't find this option.( and at the time i write -we cannot access the edit anymore)

A -the setting would be a paragraph in the edit form - wiht three buttons

single action in this action space
possibility to edit more action by adminsitrators of the action space (managed by owner)
possibility to edit more action by participants of the action space

B- depending on this setting, the “add an action” item in the" operations in current action space menu" (*) would be accessible or not

(*)is this flexible menu scheme compatible with the "one line" drop down create content that Ben has installed recently and we did not ask for) - that is a requisite: have a "operation in current action space " menu that changes with permission of the user

This request could come useful if we go ahead with the definition of an "event" as a set of actions in the same place / or in different places w/same theme.

What is the technical implication?

The core request here:

People who create an action space (organic group) can choose to set set the ability of those who join that action space (organic group) to one of three options:

A) add actions as normal,
B) add actions only if the given user has been granted special status by the group administrator, or
C) not add actions at all.

The technical implementation is difficult.

A lot of it I'm quite experienced with: giving users special "node access" permissions. But how this would play with Organic Groups, which doesn't use Drupal's core access control (or anything at all?) for its permissions, I'm not sure. If people want to move this along, looking through the Organic Groups contributed modules for one that may do this or something similar, and posting a feature or support request if an appropriate module can be found, would be a good way to do it. If there are others using Organic Groups who would like this functionality that makes this more worth coding.

Of course, the next request would likely be to set these permissions per node type...

(Sorry for the long delay in an update. As the developers, we've been using 'needs more info' to request information from the feature and bug requesters, and hadn't checked in.)
