There is no option to create a menu description currently; also, if the option to create a menu automatically is enabled, it is not possible to add a menu description until after the node has been saved. This means you have to edit the node twice to get a description in there, which is a usability concern.

Also, I haven't checked, but I assume that it would be possible to turn off menu permissions "in general" but keep the NH menu options open, so it would be nice if the description could be added in NH, then one could disable menu permissions which would greatly reduce the confusion and number of options on the node edit screens :)

+1 for this, not being able to set the menu description makes SEO management a nightmare and adds a lots of extra clicks.
