Image is not displayed

I insert an image and can see and modify it in the 'edit' mode, but it is not displayed in 'view' mode.
What could possibly cause it?

some details as to how you are inserting the image would aid (there are multiple methods for working with images).

I've tried both through the toolbar and by entering <img src...> code.
Neither works.

When using the img tag the src attribute either needs to be absolute or relative to the site root (starts with '/')

If you are putting images in the body section, you need to make sure the field is set to "full HTML" or include the IMG tag as an acceptable tag.
