Problem

In My project I have field (of field collection type) attached with a content type and my requirement is I have to post a comment (to related node ) when any of field (of field collection type of that node) is updated. I am using rules module for this but when I am trying to add action (Data selector *) and submit form. i got an error message Data selector node for parameter param_node is invalid. and not able to create rule.

add comment to field collection field update is not working with Rules module. please Help

To file a bug report, please list the specific steps needed to reproduce the problem on a clean install of Drupal 7. The Rules issue queue has a large number of issues and so reports really need to be as detailed as possible. Screenshots are helpful but it is best to attach your entire rule.
