We should try to fix #301295: Automatically inherit theme .info settings from base themes to subthemes so that we don't need omega_theme_get_setting() anymore and instead use the inherited defaults from Omega. That solution would be much cleaner and flexible as it would allow overriding of defaults too.

Can't do that without major hacky hacks ;)... Will be fixed in 8.x hopefully.
