perhaps before you continue this project you could provide some information how your module is different from http://drupal.org/project/drupalit ?

mercmobily commentedHi,
Thank you for your most kind message Oleg.
First of all, I am not "continuing" this project. I have _finished_ this project, and I am making it available to the whole Drupal community.
1) Size. Drupalit is a small 30k module. Druligg + simple Karma together are close to 200K. This doesn't say much, but it says something.
2) Features. Drigg allows 4 different voting methods. Allows multiple forms for each node. Allows automatic hiding of karma-buried comments. Allows _endless_ configuration options. These are possible thanks to the karma module. Drupalit has its scope
3) Pligg importer. Drigg comes with a full importer for Pligg. This means that people can easily migrate. Please note that the current db structure of Drupalit won't allow a full importer to be written
Before calling anybody's efforts "wasted", I suggest you have a look at drigg's code, maybe install it, and realise what it actually is.
Since I created the project this morning, and am about to upload an actual working version in CVS, please allow a little bit of time (and testing) before asking further questions (which I will, obviously, gladly answer).
Now excuse me, I am busy creating Drigg's web site.
Merc.

litwol commentedplease make the above available as your module description. otherwise many (just like myself) could be confused by this.
mercmobily commentedHi,
I doubt they will be confused. On the other hand, I do hope they will be a little more polite.
I only created the project *today*. More documentation is coming.

litwol commentedoh i only now realized why you thought i was being inpolite. i made a typo in the subject... i'm sorry about it. however documentation is still necessary.

mercmobily commentedHi,
aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh...
No worries. I am suffering from lack of sleep...
Did you see http://www.drigg-code.org, especially the FAQ section?
I managed to "ruin" my CVS repo for this project (don't ask). I am waiting for the infrastructure guys to fix it:
http://drupal.org/node/191559
After that, I am ready to rock and roll..
