The installer page for configuring the home page needs a few tweaks

I'll try to explain from memory being that I deleted the evernote reference accidentally.

1. I selected a red and black theme, yet when I got onto the page to customize my home page text, the image of the Commons home page was in blue. That's confusing.

2. The 2 text fields (welcome title, and message) have sample text in them that do not map to the image. They should match. Either update the default welcome text to match the image, or update the image. By mapping the two, the user will be able to better understand the mapping. Doing this will help, but really what you want to do is one of the following:

A) lay the text over the image, and allow the user to change inline. This kills the separation between image and text field

B) Kills this page entirely (put the checkbox for default content on another page), and use the 'Edit in place' module created by the Spark team so that users can easily customize this in context post installation.

3. The help text at the top of the page is unnecessary. At a minimum, it should be shortened. If you keep it, add a

between the text and the sample image. RIght not the image immediately follows the intro text.

4. The help text for dummy content is too long and has lots of redundancies. Shorten dramatically.

Re 3 and 4, remember, users dont read. They try first, read second. By putting so much text on the screen, it just makes the UI feel harder, and get's in they way of them trying to fill out the field. If you must make them read, make it short and succinct.
