default e-mail notification status

It's cool, that the module supports the email notification if sy recieved a private message but this function is default turned off. (Receive e-mail for unread messages: never)
I think, better if this option's default status is: "every message", because of lots of basic new registered site user's don't know that this function is changeable.
Better solve for this problem: The site administrator on the module settings page can set the default e-mail notification value for new users.
