Many modules can use other modules if the exist. I think it would be nice to have these showing in the modules list. This would be pretty much the same as the "dependencies" list in the install file.

That's an interesting idea. I can't imagine how to display it though without adding more clutter to the page.

Actually, this issue is sort of related to #328932: Modules and partial dependencies - enhances[] and enhancedby[] field in modules' .info.yml files, which (although currently filed against drupal.org itself rather than Drupal core) seems to have tons of relevant discussion. Maybe this should even be marked a duplicate of that.
