Would uuid allow a site to share og nodes with other sites?

I explain my scenario:
I have some sites with their own nodes; but they need OG features and share their groups; so I developed a custom OG module (simple at first, more and more complicated lated).

Now I discovered UUID and I was thinking if it would be possible to allow one site to share their OG with others.
