the beta version from 2011 gives tons of errors so I attempted to uninstall it , and though it let me un check the box and uninstall it, it still shows in the module list and wont let me install the 2013 dev version which I suppose works better. So help please. If I cant uninstall this and try the 2013 version what do I do ? Does anyone know of any other module that has this same functionality in version 7?

Well since it would not let me uninstall it I deleted the module directory and put in the new one in its place
