When I try to change an appearance setting, I get the notices below, because of missing favicon field:

Notice: Undefined index: favicon_path in system_theme_settings_validate() (line 649 of drupal_directory/modules/system/system.admin.inc).
Notice: Undefined index: favicon_upload in system_theme_settings_submit() (line 713 of drupal_directory/modules/system/system.admin.inc).

same here, on a quite new install (added a few modules but no content yet)

added the theme and enabled it as default
went to home page - works
added logo - works but got the same favicon notice (as there is no field to enter the favicon on the theme's settings)
went to the general themes settings and added the favicon there
now favicon works but site is completely broken :

white page with
Fatal error: [] operator not supported for strings in /includes/common.inc on line 2426
will keep posted with findings
