Ok, guys. I believe it's been answered a few times, but I just can't seem to notice it :( I'm on Drupal 5.x
The problem: a certain portion of a website has to be blocked from unauthorized users and/or guests.
The solution: there is an absolutely fantastic module called Simple Access, but it isn't available for 5.x as far as I know. Does anybody know of any module for 5.x with a similar functionality?

path_access
Try path_access. It's pretty straight forward.
nodeaccess as well.
I had some issue with nodeaccess working for me, but that was probably just me breaking stuff. :)
It's another module you might find useful.
I tried Content Access 5.x-1.2
But I'm having trouble assigning the module/filter to any node. For instance, I've managed to activate the thing, but I cannot go to a node, type
filter hereand thenunfilter hereor something like that, so the filtered content is not visible. I'll spend more time on that, will keep you posted.--

Nah.
I'm now using TAC, and it suits my needs. Thanks for the suggestions, man.

Subscribing?
Well, I think the subscription wouldn't be necessary. I've definitely switched to TAC b/c it works well for me and all.
