The following list of files have FAILED the md5sum comparison test. This means that the file has been changed in some way. This could be a result of an OS update or application upgrade. If the change is unexpected it should be investigated:

/usr/sbin/csf: FAILED
/usr/sbin/lfd: FAILED
/etc/init.d/csf: FAILED
/etc/init.d/lfd: FAILED

No, this is the Firewall security system updating itself. Although I never figured out how you know if this was not the case.

Title: got an email about a lot of md5sum comparison test failures... am I being hacked? I avent done anything to my server lately... » Disable automatic CSF/LFD upgrade
Component: Miscellaneous » Other Services
Category: support » feature

We may need to disable this automated CSF/LFD upgrade, because in fact it is not in line with BOA general practice to avoid any automated, unattended upgrades. It already created too much confusion. Another example: http://groups.drupal.org/node/282918

If this is disabled, will we be notified in someway when upgrades are required?

Thanks for everything you do Omega8cc!

No, you will upgrade it automatically with every next BOA/barracuda upgrade. No extra notify will be sent.
