Hello,

is there any module that allows me to perform a mass upload (e.g. via zip) and create a gallery with square thumbnails (e.g. 4 in a row)? Each click on a thumb should trigger a popup or something else. Any suggestions?

just showing that someone has read this. i have no idea. however, i TOO am curious if you can obtain some kinda code or linkage from any particular cellular provider to title and send your images to email...relaying this "upload" to the "next" availible table, or gallary location within the specified gallary or location desired...perhaps even by location determined by listing the particular "title" in the subject line of the "email"?

it would just end up "dead" if the "subject" line didnt "exhist" within the located or desired destination within the gallary or site location.

i think wordpress has this particular feature for doing uploads through email.

perhaps the code can be broke down to explain this function and recreated for this particular situation.

Yeah, seriously. Bulk upload, XML or CSV to input fields (so you don't have to target, click, wait... type, target, click, wait... type, target, browse, upload, wait... ... ... ..., preview. AW DAMN. Made a mistake. Edit... ... ...).

Also, I'm sick of all these Drupal videos with poor vocabulary. Gallery > Album > Item > Image. The image can be a thumbnail or an item. It should be in a secure location (which they usually don't mention in tutorials or tutorial videos for Drupal). Galleries contain albums and thumbnails of "images" from items within the albums. Albums contain items and summaries. Items may or may not contain images. In some situations, people have to pay to access certain image sizes, for example, meaning they don't contain the original image, just a proof of the image. Item pages contain information about the image and a good proof of the image. Possibly a protected full-screen image. Either something such that no one can use image capture software or right click/download to steal or the pictures and the webpage just becomes something anyone can clone....

So, with the vocabularies straight, we gotta start working on the module. The first step has now been taken. I'd say the second step is having some kind of upload tool that puts images in a secure locations and then finding a way to import the images into galleries. Of course the next step which is intimately related to step three is finding a way to use CSV's and TAR's to bulk add images.

Sometimes I have hundreds of images to post. I'd love to upload a zip with a simple txt file and have Drupal create all the image instances. (thumbnails, watermark, etc.)

I'm going on a module search!
