First Time Frontpage for new Anonymous Users

I have a site on which users can't register. I want to show a different frontpage on the first time a new user visits the site (an full content site). after that the user should get the default frontpage (newspage) each time (i think best over setting a cookie for the user?). Basicly I want to show a site on an other path the first time a user visits the page.

So the frontpage module comes very close but has not that specific feature. Any chance to get something like that soon? or a suggestion for a workaround?
