RE: cck does not ship with drupal 7.1.9 ... or am I just nuts?

I'm just starting to learn Drupal, so maybe I'm missing something... but near as I can tell, Drupal 7 core does not ship with CCK, which I was led to believe that it does, as module for it end with Drupal 6.x

Anybody? I can't find matching documentation about this via Google searches, so I'm thinking I'm just not seeing something.

CCK became the "field" module

CCK became the "field" module in D7 and is included in core.
