I am texting LightboxV2 with image_gallery and Acidfree. It works perfectly under FF on my desktop computer, not very well under IE6 on the same computer, and very badly under IE6 on my office laptop which is rather slow.
From time to time (looks like a random phenomenon) images are not displayed in lightbox but in the top left corner of a simple white page.
It looks like a bad synchronization if the processor is not fast enough.
Would somebody have an idea?

stella commentedHas the page finished loading when you click on an image? Are you using "lightbox lite"? I guess it would also be helpful to know if the image you're clicking on has the "rel=lightbox" manually added, or if it is automatically done, i.e. did you write the html image link code or is it generated by drupal?
Cheers,
Stella

gilbertdelyon commentedHi Stella,
Too busy to send more information at the moment. I'll make some additional tests during week end and let you know the details.

gilbertdelyon commentedHi Stella,
Results of my investigations:
Drupal5.3, JQuery Update5.x-1.0, Image Gallery5.x-1.5, Lightbox2 5.x-2.x-dev
Localhost on USB key.
Firefox/2.0.0.8; IE 6 last available update
FF: light box is running very well with Image Gallery, Acidfree, groups of images in nodes, but not at all with Brilliant gallery (I see only a white window in black screen, no image, but this is minor problem for me)
IE6: Starting with image gallery: images are displayed correctly at the beginning, but, after a various number of images, instead of lightbox display, the image is displayed in top left corner of a white screen (at image url instead of remaining in gallery url). Issue is more accurate on my old laptop (occurs only after a few images) than on my desktop. Very often (but not always) the issue occurs when I move from one gallery to another. The only way to recover lightbox display is to close IE6 and restart. Groups of images in nodes are displayed correctly in every case, even after bad display with image gallery, even if I click very fastly from one image to another.
Notice1: I also tested Thickbox in the same conditions with full success.
Notice2: I visited Stella Power Design site. Congratulation for the wonderfull photos, you remember me holidays in Ireland 30 years ago! But phenomenon occurs exactly as well as on my localhost/site.
For example when navigating in one of your galleries with lightbox, I suddenly got http://www.stellapowerdesign.net/files/stellapowerdesign.net/images/heri... instead of the lightbox display.
May this help you to help me!!
Cheers
Gilbertdelyon.
By the way: would you know how to page images ("first, previous/next, last") in albums with multiple parents photos? I found many ways with single parent but no one is working with multiple parents.

stella commentedFirst off, thanks for all the detail you provided, it really does help. It sounds like the page hasn't finished loading when you click on an image, well that's one possible scenario. Does it happen when using lightbox lite? Rather than closing and restarting IE, does clearing the browser cache and reloading allow you to recover?
Can you open a separate issue for the FF and brilliant gallery problem?
Is this the same issue as #194461?
Cheers,
Stella

stella commentedBack up your copy of lightbox2/js/lightningload.js and copy the attached one in its place (remove "_.txt" ending). You will probably need to clear your browser cache before re-testing. Please let me know if it helps any.

Stella

gilbertdelyon commentedHi Stella,
That's what I did, then I clicked dozens of images and up to now it works well under IE6 and FF and IE7, Image Gallery and Acidfree.
No success with Brilliant Gallery (only black screen and white square in the middle, “waiting wheel” is rotating endless).
Thanks again for your precious help and efficient "after sales" service.
Cheers
Gilbert.
For your information: I visited again http://www.stellapowerdesign.net/ . Lightbox display works well but I cannot get image details in IE6 (blank page with only header and sidebar) while it works well under FF. Similar behaviour if I click on image details in Lightbox as well as if I click on image title in gallery grid. I cleaned the cash but it doesn't help.

stella commentedHi,
I've committed a fix for this to CVS and it will be included in the next release.
Could you provide a screenshot of wht you mean about the image details not appearing in IE6?
Gilbert: could you please open a separate issue about the brilliant gallery problem? Also include more information, such as are you loading it from the sidebar or on page?
Cheers,
Stella

gilbertdelyon commentedHi Stella,
Please find attached screenshots in chronological order 1, 2 and 3 under FF and 3 under IE6. If I click on "view image details" in lightbox screen I get a blank page under IE6 while it works well under FF (of course on same computer).
Hope this can help you.
Cheers
Gilbert
Notice: This problem occurs only when I visit Stella Power Design site. On my ../localhost/site it works well.

stella commentedIt works fine for me in IE7, I don't have a version of IE6 I can test on. However, I don't believe it is an issue with Lightbox. As you can see, the URL for the image node page in each case is the same (http://www.stellapowerdesign.net/node/1016). Therefore, lightbox is working fine - it's taking the user to the correct location. The blank page could be caused by browser cache issues or another drupal module, but not lightbox. Thanks for letting me know though. The original issue reported here has now been fixed however.
Cheers,
Stella

gilbertdelyon commentedHi Stella,
Just made a test on another computer with IE6. You are right, the issue is not caused by lightbox
Step 1: empty browser cache
Step 2: click on (http://www.stellapowerdesign.net/node/1016).
Step 3: see attached screenshot
