I'm sorry to be an idiot, but I can't for the life of me understand how to get this to play. Below is what I have gathered in terms of how to get this thing to operation. I thought one would have to:
1.) Upload audio by going to admin > create content > audio
2.) Create a program by going to admin > create content > program
3.) Create a playlist for the program by going to admin > create content > create program playlist

But here are my questions:

a.) In step #3, why isn't the artist's song I uploaded auto populating using AJAX? Even if I manually type the artist's name, the album isn't automatically populating. Why? (I have verified the audio was successfully uploaded; it's listed in the Audio menu.)

b.) Does any given program have multiple playlists? Or is there only 1 playlist for every program?

c.) I have an album area in my admin > create content. How does the album fit into this puzzle???? Or is this album thing irrelevant?

d.) What button can I click to listen to the live radio station?

e.) Is there a way that people can suggest music? (upload MP3's)?

Thanks for your help.

based on the questions you're asking it sounds like you're trying to do something that the the station module does not do. the module is designed for a radio station that already has a webstream up and running. it allows the station to put their schedule and programs up on to the web. it does not do any programming or webstreaming for you.

Thank you so much for you answer. Okay so how does this module communicate with the existing radio station/webstream? Why not just use the webstreaming service to display the schedule, set the programs, etc.? I guess I'm not sure I understand the purpose of this Station module now.

Finding a solution...
Better yet, is there a Drupal module that handles the streaming aspects that Station doesn't? If so, does it connect with this Station Module or is it all-inclusive? Or is there a service provider that will effectively do this and integrate with Drupal?

Ultimately I'd like to offer streaming radio to my members, and only for members. How can I achieve this?

you can take a look at the shoutcast module that does some of the streaming but you've still got to come up with the programming. all the the station module handles displaying a schedule of programs hosted by different djs who post playlists. it also has features to record the stream and save that as audio nodes in the station archive or keep track of physical CDs in the station's album catalog.

The Drupal 5 versions are no longer supported, if someone would like to step up to co-maintain it then please do so, otherwise future work will only happen for D6 and D7. Thank you.
