I read some threads where people wanted to pregenerate all cache files. There is a tool i am using for link checking now for years. If you run this on a url it checks every pages, and finds broken links. A side effect is that all page cache will be generated.

marcoka commentedyes. wget is nice if you have the ability to run scripts :)
this is just a tip for shared hosting users.
i just wanted to share that because its a huge problem if you add a node that is listed on various blocks and pages like views blocks, the front page.... there is no way to refresh them all but clearing the whole cache and regenerating it as it seems.
