Tweaks to search & search header styles

Hello all, I have been trying without success to achieve this functionality with the menu header in commons. I have a siteWww.hoodhippeez.com
Where the results don't quite measure up to what is shown above. I am using sticky nav module to keep it fixed. I want to know two things will my menu turn out like the ones above if I use the aforementioned Dev version? Does the sticky nav break any of this?
