I am running a Drupal 7.19 site.

When I enable Pathauto on this site, and then subsequently try to edit content that is already there, [by clicking the edit button next to the content's name] the site takes me back to the edit content page instead of going to the content that I wish to edit.

I have experimented with Pathauto's configuration and permission settings, but to no avail.

It is a useful module, so I do not want to leave it disabled!

What module is providing the 'Edit' button? Can you provide a screenshot of what you are clicking?

Please accept my apologies for taking so long to get back on this.

The "Edit" button was just a link on the Contents screen. I've attached
a screen shot of what it looks like to this response.

I cannot reproduce the bug on drupal 7.21.

I cannot either. Unless more information can be provided about what's actually happening and and how Pathauto is proven to be responsible for it, I can't really do much more.
