One of the websites shown in "Show off your Drupal site" is http://matthewharding.com.au
The site is using a hover image effect using CSS3 and the author gives the link to where he got the css from, http://tympanus.net/codrops/2011/11/02/original-hover-effects-with-css3/
To make it work with Drupal he says that he uses views rewrite the output to match the HTML. I can get this working on a non Drupal page, but have not managed to crack getting this to work using views, some partial success, but I think I am missing something somewhere.
Pointers in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks.

This is a cool effect.

This is a cool effect. I'll try to get some kind of tutorial and demo together but it won't be for a while as I will be on vacation next week. I'm thinking I may offer this as a companion 'Feature' to my theme, Bamboo. (Just as I did for the add on slideshow.)

Look forward to seeing how it

Look forward to seeing how it all looks. I know there will be some that say CSS3 doesn't work on older browsers, but mainly this is IE, or at least IE is the one that causes me the most problems. Time moves on and it would be a shame not to use these new effects just because a few are not able to see them.

Anyone know how to do this?

I would also like to learn how to achieve this.
Can someone explain in simple terms how to setup this hover effect in Views?
