Hi,
I can select a producttype (product variation) when I select this on the settings screen.
But when I then choose a variation it also shows the variations of the other producttypes.
Can I somehow filter the "Add existing Variations" so that it only shows the variations of this producttype?

Hi,

I ask this because I mostly appreciate it if I could select which producttype the existing product is from and only see the products of this type (producttype filter).
This because I have losts of existing products of certain feed type, and much lesser of another manual type. I would like to select only the manual type.
This is now a pain in the ace because I see all products which exist in my database!

Hi,
Off course I am talking about using the Inline Entity Form within Drupal Commerce.
I need this functionality because otherwise it is no easy job to scroll over all automated products and to have some ordering within the existing products.
Does anyone have a solution for this may be already?

I saw this module; http://drupal.org/project/reference_option_limit
Wouldn't it not be great if I select a producttype, that then the selecting existing products only where part of this producttype? So in a way the products are filtered by producttype as suggesting this module is doing?

The autocomplete respects the allowed types of the reference field, if a type ( / bundle) is not allowed, then it is not displayed in IEF's variation dropdown and not referencable by the autocomplete.
There shouldn't be any problems there.

I could barely understand what you're saying though, so if there's actually a bug there, reopen with screenshots or a screencast.
