After enabling this module, my view modes started to show in other languages than the current page.

Yep, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I have not yet found the way to reproduce it. It looked quite funky, but after a cache clear all it reverted back fortunately. I am attaching a screenshot anyway to show the view mode titles on the Manage Display screen. Some of these turned Chinese for some reason. I do have Chinese enabled as a language, but it was not the active language.

Yeah I have no idea. If you can reproduce the conditions with details steps + with a clean install of core + entity view modes + minimal other modules, I can take a look. Otherwise there's just not enough information for me to do anything. :/
