I was wondering if there is a way to disable the use of comment notify for anonymous users, where the 'notify me of follow up comments here' is not displayed for anonymous users.

The option for "Fill checkbox for followup with YES by default for anonymous users, so they will get an email alert for follow up comments if they do not uncheck it then" is unchecked, but I was wondering if there is a way to completely remove this function for anonymous users.

If this were provided as a permission then you could say "allow anon to use it" or "allow authenticated users to use it." Does that sound like a good solution? It's not available yet, but I'm proposing it as a feature.
