I clicked on "follow" for two different groups as an authenticated user. Once I clicked it changed to following. However when I go back to the homepage and filter on content "I'm following", the groups don't show up either when I select "Groups" or "All Content"

This is by design per #1917662: Themeing improvements to teaser listings such as "What's going on" Page: Content in those groups should display in that listing but not the groups themselves.
