I am using Drupal 5.3, PHP 4.4.6, and MYSQL 4.1.22, hosted on Site5.com
The galleries had been working with no problems, but I was having other problems and re-installed Drupal 5.3. Now everything works fine, except that when anyone submits an image there is no option to put it in a gallery. There is no gallery drop down list on the Image submit node. The old galleries are still there and are operational, but you can't put anything new in them.
I had the same problem about a month ago with forums, and now I'm having the same problem with Images. I found a solution for the forum, ( http://drupal.org/node/90214 ) but can't find one for the Images.
I have thought about upgrading to Image 5.x-1.6, but I don't want to lose anything. I also can't find any instructions anywhere that clearly tell how to upgrade the module.

Jackezel commentedI created a test account and uploaded Image 5.x-1.6, and it did not make any difference. I still do not have a dropdown menu with categories on my image submission page.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hetta commentedI had that after upgrading to 5.3. The problem was a backed-up taxonomy.module in my /sites/ modules/modifications folder ... if taxonomy isn't listed on your modules page: check for taxonomy.module outside of /drupal/modules/taxonomy, and, if found, rename it to taxonomy.module.bak or something.
Doubled-up modules create weird errors.

Jackezel commentedHetta - Thanks for the suggestion, but I did a search, and I only have one taxonomy.module and it's in the right place. - Jackezel

Jackezel commentedNew images still can not be put into any gallery because the Image gallery option does not show up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Jackezel commentedFor some reason, when Drupal 5.3 re-installed, it turned off the Image content type for the Image Galleries Vocabulary.
To turn it back on, go to Home » Administer » Content management » Categories » Edit vocabulary and make sure that the "Type: image" box has a check in it.
That fixed my problem - Jackezel

Jabzebedwa commentedI have found a couple of posts that say to go the the Content Type and make sure that the Image Gallery vocabulary is enabled. What do you do if there is no such beast in the Content Type dialogue. There is no reference to Taxonomy there.
Any help will be much appreciated.
