Hi

I am using drupal 5.3 on IIS6. I want to be able to have permalinks like this:

http://mywebsite.com/2007/11/25/my_latest_article/

Can someone help me with that?

Permalinks - A permalink is a URL that points to a specific blogging entry even after the entry has passed from the front page into the blog archives. Because a permalink remains unchanged indefinitely, it is less susceptible to link rot. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permalinks)

Clean URLS - Removes the unfriendly "?q=" stuff from your URL

Pathauto enables you to automatically create URL aliases based on article taxonomy, date, title etc. these rely on Clean URLS and make good Permalinks as they are more meaningful.

i'm trying to get the clean urls and the permalinks going so that i can use adsense and adsense for search. i just spoke to my hosting company and they said they could not install the isapi rewrite because it would interfere with the h-sphere isapi control. (i'm on iis6)

now i'm at a loss of what to do and i'm distraught. i've been working on setting my site up for 2 days straight and i was so happy working along and learning this whole new thing... they are raining my parade.
