Does this module work with the Fieldable Panels Panes module - http://drupal.org/project/fieldable_panels_panes?

Whenever I try to add and configure the a core term reference field to a fieldable panel pane bundle it shows the message "This field cannot be used for access control." The field is a standard term reference field with a autocomplete term widget.

So is workbench_access only designed to be used for nodes or can it be also used by other entities?

I just noticed when you edit content types you see a checkbox for "Enforce Workbench Access control." When you create a fieldable panel pane bundle, you don't have that option.

So that leads me to believe that this won't work, unless I'm missing something.

So it would work for Panel Nodes, which is part of the Panels install.
