error adding content

Good evening,

I am a new user and am following beginner tutorals that I found on vimeo by John Hannah.

I am producing on my localhost through MAMP

I installed devel and module filter, then added content under configuration and am getting this error:

Strict warning: Only variables should be passed by reference in _image_devel_generate() (line 36 of /Users/swimmer35/Sites/drupal/sites/all/modules/devel/devel_generate/image.devel_generate.inc).

any suggestions or info on this? thanks!

also, looking for any more great tutorals for a freeway Pro user making her way over to the next level ..
