Extend tabbed browsing widget to user profiles

I was going over some of the features of Commons and a thought came to mind about the user profile pages, which are very informative, however after viewing the group landing page I was curious how difficult would it be to add a tabbed browsing widget to a User Profile page. The train of thought would be that if a user finds a pice of content useful enough to visit another users page it might be convenient to have the same tabbed browsing widget, just configured to list content that was authored by the user being viewed, as a way to find other content that the user has contributed to the site.
