The current Twitter module isn't lightweight and does more than just log a user in. It also doesn't pull the user's email address on sign up. Would it be possible to commission you to create a Twitter version of this module. As a completely separate module, of course. I don't have much money, I'd be willing to pitch in $100. The features should mirror this module, only for Twitter.

I'm personally not interested in building such a module (though I would like to see such a module written). Abstraction is often the death of things in Drupal.
