Followed all installation instructions to a T. Brand new version of Drupal 7.20, jquery.backstretch.min.js is in sites/all/libraries/jquery.backstretch, and I have an image field with multiple values, with Display output as Backstretch @ default setting.
jquery.backstretch.min.js and the trigger script is firing, but no div included on the home page.

willeifler commentedResolved - I found a better module, Supersized: http://drupal.org/project/supersized
I wanted to love Backstretch so badly but after 4 days of trying to get it to work, it's not worth it. Supersized works out of the box, doesn't require jQuery Update, and has much more flexibility. It renders window resizes better as well.
If anyone can let me know what might have been wrong (incompatibility with latest release perhaps?) let me know and I will try it again.

yannickooHey Will,
can you tell me which theme you are using or could you post a link where you cannot see the Backstretch? It could be that there is a non-transparent background so that you cannot see it.
I would recommend jQuery Update module but it is also very use it without jQuery Backstretch (you just have to replace .on() with .bind() in the plugin's javascript) but let me think about that so that it is not necessary to install jQuery Update :)

willeifler commentedThanks for the reply!! The background was transparent, but most importantly nothing was printing in the HTML of the page. jQuery Update was set to jQuery 1.7, but it still didn't work. One thing about jQuery Update is that there is currently a huge bug with it that makes Views UI unusable. So it's best for me to have it off right now.
The jQuery and Backstretch libraries were all load, BTW.

yannickooShould be fixed with 6c02b29. Can you test the latest development version (download) please? If you are using a context for the Backstretch please edit it and reselect the image field.

andy.smith commentedI am using the most recent dev version (2013-Apr-05) and I am experiencing this same problem. I rely on Flexslider but would also love to use Backstretch. I used version 1 but I am having to update it - playing with it on a development version of the site.
yannickooAre you still have the problem with the latest version guys?

About commentedHi yannickoo,
i´m experiencing a little bit other Problem but also with Flexslider in combination.
Maybe it schould be a new issue?
Everything is working fine until i turn on javascript aggregation, then Backtretch is working on Pages where no Flexslider is, but on Pages with a Flexslider the Backstretch image doesn`t show up.
and a lot of more Modules…
Do you have an Idea about this?
yannickooCould you please create a new issue? It would be very cool if you will provide a link to the website so that I can try to re-produce your problem.
Thanks :)
