not all search facets working with demo data

Installed 7.x-1.0 with demo data but I'm not using apache solr.

On the search resume screen, if i select a value from the blocks "IT Skills", "General Skills" or "Language" it returns no results, even though there is a number next to the value in the block.
All the other blocks work as expected and you can filter with any combination of those (Career status, Field of study, Desired Region, Desired occupation) just not with the other 3.

any ideas?
