I've been having problems with pip.verisignlabs.com openid users logging in to my production site. So I set up a test server locally with a clean Drupal 5.3 install + openid-5.x-1.0.
I was able to register new users w/ the openid login using accounts from myopenid.com and myid.net. However, I cannot register new users from pip.verisignlabs.com. Drupal reports: OpenID login failed.
Furthermore, if I log in normally and go to My Account then click the OpenID Identities tab I cannot add my verisignlabs id there either. When I click the add button, the page refreshes, no errors are reported, but nothing has been add to the list of OpenIDs.
Is anyone else having the same problem?

Anonymous (not verified) commentedI've just setup a fresh install too and having the exact same problem. On Versign's end btw it reports that the OpenID exchange was successfully "authorized", but on my Drupal end it's not working.

kajamohideen commentedVerisign openIDs are just working fine for me...
I'm running Drupal 5.3 and openID 5.x-1.0

Anonymous (not verified) commentedAhhh yep, it works now. My guess is that Verisign is fixing this on their end. There's a reason they have their OpenID providing service marked as "Beta". =)

Anonymous (not verified) commentedOh, I guess "won't fix" probably makes more sense than "closed" eh? Verisign's OpenID service may still have some quirks to it.

pianory commented2 1/2 years later, and I'm having problems with pip.verisignlabs.com, same message: "OpenID login failed.", with no message in the error log. Using Drupal 6.16 (latest at time of writing) with built-in OpenID on a public server. Any ideas? I am not trying this on a default install with no modules attached, because OpenID for me is an after-thought not a need at this point. Is anyone else having success with pip.verisignlabs.com? My verisignlabs account works on every other OpenID provider I've tried, with the exception of a mediawiki install for SIMILE Exhibit.
