Just wondering what plans to integrate this with gmap module which has excellent handling google map embedding.

There currently are none, although i'm completely open to the possibility. This project initially rose out of the need for a cck field which could be easily maintained by a client. Although I find the GMaps module to be very powerful, I don't think it's the easiest thing to hand off to a non-technical user and expect them to maintain.

That being said, I could definitely see an integration in the future, but for now my focus is definitely on getting this off the ground and stable,
