It seems that since the Feb. 17th 2.x-dev the Zoom to Layer behavior got broken. Maps simply zoom to the max extent.

Is the code of this "Zoom to layer" function has been modified since the stable version 7x.2 beta3?

I am so glad I found this thread. I have been playing with zoom layer settings on 7.x-2.0-beta3+97-dev for several hours trying to get zoom to layer to work without results.

I found that if you use a OSM base layer, you have to click the zoom controls twice to get any action. The google maps base layer does not have this issue.
