HTTP Hello

When i try editing a image from node edit, an HTTP error is thrown when retrieving AJAX information.
The page locks up on AJAX, and nothing happens.

An HTTP error ocurred in Ajax.

when editing through admin/content/file,
all goes ok (no ctools modal/popup)

i also have Manual Crop enabled as described above.

regarding WYSIWYG -- all the image fields have simple input, without filtered text, so the WYSIWYG editor must not be loading.
there could be a conflict in the JS/AJAX, but that shouldn't happen without a editor loading right?

the image field used is in a field group (vertical+horizontal tab), without other text fields underneath that same tab.

Try the patch here http://drupal.org/node/1909408#comment-7148654 and see if that works.

applied the patch, but the result was the same

currently versions:

yes

i'm figuring there's some more bugs underneath. it's going to be problematic to resolve them.

but i remember that in one of the dev versions of media / file_entity unstable7 it worked fine.

You probably also should update the Media and File Entity modules to the latest devs.

they are the very latest published dev,
just not using the latest commit from the git

you think i need to update ctools to a dev version?
or is this related to javascript/css conflicts/issues?

Can you try without the manual-crop module installed. Do you see any errors in the js console using Chrome or firebug with Firefox when this happens? That's a hefty list of modules. You might need to test this on a simplified install with just basic modules installed and see if you can reproduce the problem.
