Hi,

I'm the maintainer of the user notifications module (http://drupal.org/project/user_notifications) which from what I can tell may do something similar to this module?

User notifications offers Facebook style notifications system built around the Rules module and with messaging module integration to send notifications via a number of channels (inbox, email, sms etc).

I'm wondering if theres any interest in merging these modules together as my time is too limited to commit much more to user notifications.
