It would be great to have the option to use the original video if it has a desired format.

For example: if i upload a mp4 file, it should be used as is without transcoding. Only if i upload another file format it should transcode into mp4.

Wouldn't this make the workflow/ui more complicated? It would be OK for an editor with some background knowledge, but if I want to implement video upload for a community I wouldn't like to have multiple fields for uploading videos.
