I'd like to be emailed when a new question is asked (not answered) in my area of expertise. Should this work? As far as I can tell I have Subscriptions set up properly since I can receive notifications of other content changes. I'm using two test addresses (so I'm not trying to notify myself). Creating a FAQ with the FAQ module will also generate an email.

Other parts of FAQ_Ask work just fine.

I'm having a similar problem. Unfortunately, I don't own Subscriptions.

OK, now I know I'm not the only one with this problem using FAQ_Ask and Subscriptions :)

Hmm, http://drupal.org/node/158089 may be related to this.

After a much more detailed review and debugging session, I have discovered that Subscriptions will not notify the expert if the node is unpublished. Since unanswered questions are unpublished, this is a problem.

I guess, I'm going to have to do my own notification. I don't think this will be that hard. Hopefully I'll have this by tomorrow - watch for a beta2 version.

Okay, I will commit the fixes in a moment. They will be -beta2.

There is a new setting to turn notifications on.

Subscriptions is no longer needed.
