I want to adjust some of the styles and with other themes I define a local.css in the .info file. This does not APPEAR to work for my mobile devices forcing me to adjust the theme's style.css.
Am I doing something wrong?

It should work like it does in any other theme but I'll try to reproduce it on my local installation.

I was able to create a local.css file and it did override many of the elements I chose. You can see it in action on the Responsive Bartik demo site. You'll notice weird colors in several places which are all overrides from the local.css file.

Please try this at your earliest convenience.

When I did it I could not see any reference to the local.css file in the source. I'll try again.
