Hello,
One shortcoming that I have noticed in Drupal 6.0 (as well as previous versions) is that although the internationalization / multilanguage works beautifully in drupal 6.0, there is still no way to adeqately deal with the site information (Home » Administer » Site configuration » Site Information) in multimplate languages. Specifically, being able to set the default front page, slogan, site name, footer and defaul for anonymous suer in each additional langauage would be an excellent and, I think, fundimental addition if a site is to be fully localized.
Right now it seems these can only be set in a single language.
Many thanks.

Interzone commentedI mean having an independent Site Information page for each language. For example, if there are two language, then there would be two independent "site information" pages... i.e. Site Information (default language) and Site information (additonal language).
Thanks

gábor hojtsyYes, site settings (ie. site information, email texts, offline status messages, etc), as well as menu items, taxonomy data, contact form groups, user profile fields and so on are all fundamental details of how a site is localized. Unfortunately we are humans and can only do so much at a time. While Drupal 6 comes out with significantly improved multilanguage support, however hard we wished, it is not close to being 100% there. You will still need the i18n or localizer modules and will be able to use the increased number of cool new internationalization and localization tools available from drupal.org.

Interzone commentedJust giving you an idea that would be a very helpful addition... not intended as a criticism. Thanks.
